ND Emerging Leaders 2017 Graduation Class

Fargo, ND – Fifteen small business owners graduated from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Emerging Leaders program, a “mini-MBA” training initiative for local business on the brink of growth. A graduation ceremony was held October 16th with keynote address given by Matthew Mohr of Dacotah Paper Company.

This is the third year the SBA North Dakota District Office has provided the seven-month executive education series. The program includes approximately 50 hours of classroom time, connects small business owners with a network of industry experts and peers, and supports the creation of a three-year strategic growth action plan.

“Small business owners are often experts in what their business does, but rarely are they experts in small business management. The Emerging Leaders course gives them tools to evaluate where their business is headed,” said SBA North Dakota District Director Alan Haut. “With help from the classes, these individuals and their businesses will continue to grow, hire more employees and drive our local, state and national economy.”
