“This is a great opportunity for Lehigh Valley entrepreneurs to meet with a variety of potential lenders and to discover ways to gain access to the technical assistance with SBA and our resource partners that they might need to become ready for a business loan at a one-stop event,” said Acting SBA Philadelphia District Director Mark Quinn. “From the borrower’s perspective, it’s valuable to them because it brings all the lenders together and it takes the guesswork from them trying to go into a bank and figure out what bank has what appetite to work with certain industries,” said SBA Lender Relations Specialist Shannon Degiglio. “They have more of a chance to access capital because we’re bringing everybody into one room together.”

The event will provide entrepreneurs a series of 10 to 15-minute “pitch periods” with a variety of lenders in one-on-one meetings. Participating lending institutions include banks, credit unions, economic development corporations, and community lenders. The lenders can schedule more detailed interviews with entrepreneurs whose proposal may be a match with their lending portfolio. SBA encourages entrepreneurs at every stage of business development, from start-up to expanding business, to attend this free event.

Representatives from the SBA and SBA’s Resource Partner network – SCORE, Small Business Development Center, and local resources – will also be available to help advise potential borrowers.
