NextScan’s Ernesto Pinal Named 2015 SBA Region 10 Exporter of the Year

Boise, Idaho – Vice President of International Business Development Ernesto Pinal of NextScan Inc., headquartered in Meridian, Idaho has been named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2015 Region 10 Small Business Exporter of the Year.  Pinal was nominated for this prestigious award by Jennifer Verdon, International Trade Manager of the Idaho Department of Commerce.

NextScan is a global leader in the micrographics conversion and document management industry.  Incorporated in 2002, NextScan was established to provide the microfilm conversion market with an innovative high performance alternative to existing scanning technologies.   Ernesto Pinal has served as the Vice President of International Business Development for NextScan Inc. since 2007.  In the past 7 years, NextScan has consistently increased its international business and its global market penetration to include markets in Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Western Europe, Russia, Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and Australia. Currently NextScan is working to expand business opportunities and market penetration throughout the Middle East, including Kuwait, Israel, Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Jordan.  NextScan currently generates approximately 40% of its gross sales from exports to 42 countries in five continents and five full time jobs are heavily dependent on exports.

Ernesto Pinal was recently honored at the Zions Bank Small Business Conference in Boise.
