BOSTON – The Small Business Administration (SBA) has named Odic Incorporated the 2017 Subcontractor of the Year for the New England region.

Odic earned the recognition for its success as a reliable co-developer and designer of innovative embedded electronics for high-tech companies and government agencies. The company employs experienced engineers to design solutions for electronics challenges in a variety of applications and industries.

“Hard work, innovative ideas and dedication to the community have helped Odic succeed,” said Robb Wong, Associate Administrator of SBA’s Office of Government Contracting and Business Development. “The SBA is pleased to recognize your achievements and your role in driving our nation’s economic growth.”

Odic was established in 1991 for the purpose of designing electronics and writing firmware for high tech companies in the Massachusetts area and beyond.  The company helps their clients with proof of concept and basic technology development, and product design that can involve electronic hardware and firmware as well as full turn-key development and transition into manufacturing.

Odic excels at designing low-cost, low-power, and miniaturized technologies. The company’s success is due to a carefully constructed environment that encourages creativity and flexibility.

Odic has worked with over 210 companies around the world, including Hasbro, Timex Corporation, RSA Security, Massachusetts General Hospital, US Army (USARIEM, Natick Soldier Center), Virgin Pulse, 3Com Corporation, Covidien (Tyco Healthcare), Freescale, Heartland Payment Systems, and Lucent Technologies.
