SBA and Virgins Islands SBDC to Conduct Procurement Seminars for Small Businesses

CHRISTIANSTED, U.S. Virgin Islands - The U.S. Small Business Administration and the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center are hosting several Procurement Seminars in the USVI August 20th through the 22nd, to help small firms increase their chances of doing business with the federal government.

Aimed at providing small business entrepreneurs with information and resources necessary to connect with prospective federal and local government purchasing officers, the events will include sessions with SBA, U.S. National Park Service, Virgin Islands Department of Property & Procurement, and Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority.  Also, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with private sector procurement advisors, bonding specialists and more.

The seminars will take place as follows: Wednesday, August 20 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the SBDC Training Center, Sion farm Shopping Center, Bays 16 & 17 in Christiansted, St. Croix; Thursday, August 21 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the SBDC Training Center, 8000 Nisky Shopping Center in St. Thomas; and on Friday, August 22 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the University of the Virgin Islands Academic Center in St. John.
