SBA Announces New Connecticut Director

BOSTON – The U.S. Small Business Administration has named Anne Hunt as district director for the Connecticut District Office. Ms. Hunt, who has been working in the Massachusetts District Office as the deputy district director since 2014, will begin her new position on April 17, 2016.

“We are fortunate to have Anne Hunt as the new Connecticut District Director,” said Seth Goodall, SBA’s New England Regional Administrator.  “With her knowledge of SBA’s programs and services, commitment to small businesses and her strong ties to the local lending community Anne will be an effective leader for the SBA in Connecticut.”

Ms. Hunt, a native of Winthrop, Massachusetts, began her career with the SBA in 1981and held various positions in the Massachusetts office during that time. She will succeed Bernie Sweeney who retired in September 2015.

She received her bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts School of Liberal Arts and master’s degree from Salem State University.

In her role as district director, Ms. Hunt will be responsible for the delivery of SBA’s financial assistance and entrepreneurial development programs throughout Connecticut.

The Connecticut District Office is located at 280 Trumbull Street, Second Floor, Hartford, Connecticut.
