SBA Announces New Deputy District Director for North Florida

Jacksonville, FLA. - The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is proud to announce the selection of Ms. Jonel Hein as the North Florida Deputy District Director. She will oversee the operations of SBA programs and services across the 43 county North Florida territory. Hein will work with J. Malcolm Richards, District Director to continue providing outreach and assistance to all the small business owners in the area.

 

Hein served as the Deputy Director for the SBA in South Florida.  She has been responsible for the daily operation of the District office in Miami and two Alternate Work Sites in Tampa, FL and Ft. Pierce, FL.   Her responsibilities also included advancing the SBA brand recognition through SBA initiatives, MOU’s, and Strategic Partner Alliances.  Hein has been with the SBA for 30 years; serving as a Loan Officer for over 6 years.  Prior to her civil service, she worked in consumer lending with several banks in Florida and Washington State for 4 years.

 

In her role, Hein will be responsible for the operational management of the North Florida office including the office’s 8(a) business development, economic development, and capital access divisions. Additionally, Hein will provide support to the district’s counseling partners including the Small Business Development Centers; SCORE Chapters; Women’s Business Center; U.S. Export Assistance Center; Veteran Business Outreach Center; and Procurement Technical Assistance Centers.
