SBA Helps Carbon County Entrepreneurs Become ‘Business Smart’

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA The U.S. Small Business Administration Eastern Pennsylvania District Office offers Carbon County and surrounding communities a free, half-day business education workshop called “Business Smart.”  The workshop, held by the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corp., will lay the ground work for helping new and aspiring entrepreneurs launch a business idea. Shannon Degiglio, SBA Lender Relations & Economic Development Specialist; Mauch Chunk Trust Bank; and representatives from SCORE Lehigh Valley lead the program. The free event is Tuesday, April 19, from 9 noon at the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corp., Lehighton, PA.

“SBA is committed to making our communities economically stronger,” said Antonio (Tony) Leta, Director of SBA’s Eastern Pennsylvania District. “We are hosting a ‘Business Smart’ workshop to proactively educate and empower Carbon County businesses about how to turn their idea into reality.”

WHAT: FREE “Business Smart” workshop for new and aspiring entrepreneurs in Carbon County and surrounding communities. Participants will learn the basics of business startup, the essentials of becoming credit-ready, and how and where to find additional small business support and education resources in their local community.
