HOUSTON – The U.S. Small Business Administration Houston District Office is seeking 40 established entrepreneurs throughout the 32-county district to participate in a free, seven-month Emerging Leaders intensive executive-level training series.

Emerging Leaders is a program for established business owners poised for growth. Over the course of seven months at the Houston District Office on South Gessner and at the University of Houston Small Business Development Center on Fannin, each participating entrepreneur will learn immediate ways to improve their business and will create a three-year strategic growth plan to build a sustainable business of size and scale.

Emerging Leaders is for established business owners and is not for start-ups or people who are thinking about starting a business. To be considered, firms must be for-profit enterprises, been in business for at least three years, have at full-time employees, and have annual revenues between $250,000 and $10 million.

There are no restrictions on the type of businesses that can participate. Some examples of participating businesses include manufacturers, retail stores, wholesalers, contractors, professional services and food service, to name a few.

The 5th Annual Houston Emerging Leaders executive-level training series accelerates growth of high-potential small businesses. Developed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, it draws on the experiences of advisors and business leaders in our area. This comprehensive curriculum provides the tools to catapult businesses to the next level and help it emerge as a force in the Houston area.
