SBA Names 2016 Small Business Person of the Year for the Odessa/Midland Area

(Odessa, TX)—The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has named Rosie and Gilbert Ramirez of Epic Collision Services as the recipient of the 2016 Small Business Persons of the Year for the Odessa/Midland Area.  Rosie and Gilbert were nominated for this award by the University of Texas Permian Basin Small Business Development Center. 

Epic Collision is an automotive collision repair business in Odessa, TX. During its first year in business, Epic served over 300 customers, and in the last two years, it has tripled its customer base to over 1,000 customers.  Rosie and Gilbert have increased their staff from five to seventeen employees, and are in the process of expanding their leased building of 8,100 square foot to a 20,000 square foot building of their own.         

Gilbert and Rosie Ramirez of Epic Collision are being honored for their innovation and determination which has helped boost the economy of our state and contribute to our nation’s economic growth.  “We look forward to honoring them during a reception held at the La Bodega Restaurant located at 1024 E. 7th Street, Odessa, Texas on May 3, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.” said Calvin Davis, SBA’s Lubbock - West Texas District Director.
