Free in-person classes now being simultaneously offered online to teach entrepreneurs about SBA technical assistance, how to finance your small business, the Affordable Care Act and disaster preparedness

PHILADELPHIA– The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Philadelphia District Office is now offering “Webinar Wednesday” classes for entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs interested in SBA programs and services to help small businesses start, grow and succeed that can be attended in-person or online.

The following classes are offered the first three Wednesdays of the month: December 3; 10; and 17 via webinar, or in person at the SBA Philadelphia District Office at Parkview Tower, 1150 First Ave. Ste. 1001, King of Prussia, PA 19406.

Access To Technical Assistance: 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Learn about SBA resource partners offering technical assistance including business planning.

Financing Your Small Business: 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Learn about what lenders look for when making business loans and SBA loan programs.

Disaster Planning For Business: 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Learn about how small business owners can plan for recovery from disaster or business disruption.

Intro To SBA Disaster Assistance Programs: 11:30 a.m. to Noon

Learn about SBA’s Disaster Assistance Program and how SBA responds following a declared disaster.

Affordable Care Act For Business: Noon to 1 p.m.

Learn what small business owners should understand and consider in making the best decision for their business and employees.

“These classes are a great way for small businesses to get free training on a variety of subjects,” said Acting Philadelphia District Director John Fleming. “Whether you attend a whole day of classes, or you pick a class that coincides with your schedule for thirty minutes to an hour, these classes cover subjects that are either always on the minds of small business owners or are current hot topics for small business. You can’t go wrong as long as you take advantage of the opportunity.”
