The Seattle District Office awarded it’s 2015 businesses and advocates of the year at an awards gala held at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Wash. April 30, 2015. The awards are part of the SBA National Small Business Week, honoring the Nation’s 28 million small businesses and promoting entrepreneurial spirit.

“National Small Business Week is a time to recognize the impact small businesses have on our country,” said Regional Administrator Calvin Goings. “It’s a chance to celebrate the dedicated, hard-working small business owners who are making a difference in their communities.”

Since 1963, the President has issued a proclamation designating one week each year as National Small Business Week.  This year, the celebration will take place from May 4-8 all across the country, with the theme “Dream Big, Start Small.”  Administrator Contreras-Sweet will travel during the week to events in Miami, Los Angeles, San Antonio, New York and Washington, D.C.
