RICHMOND, Va. – The Metro Richmond area is expected to welcome up to 500,000 bike fans and racers from across the world during the UCI Road World Championships September 19-27, 2015. Many of those visitors will be French speaking and may speak limited English. The SBA Richmond District Office has assembled a guidebook of common French phrases to help communicate with business owners.

“I am proud to offer this small, but very useful document to help Richmond area business owners,” said Carl Knoblock, SBA Richmond District Office Director. “This is a result of the SBA team listening to concerns from business owners, local governments and the event organizers to provide a product that is useful for everyone.”

Since two primary languages at the races will be English and French, the U.S. Small Business Administration Richmond District Office is proud to offer this document to enhance communications with French speaking customers. The words and phrases included in this document serve as a visual guide where the customer can look at French words and point to the English equivalent.
