ShopMamie is a retail clothing boutique opened in 2013 in Wilmington’s trendy Trolley Square section.  In 2008, ShopMamie owners Kanzleiter and Corey obtained business counseling from SBA’s Delaware District Office to initially launch ShopMamie as an e-commerce business with a supplemental ‘traveling boutique’ business,’ building their customer base over time before venturing into traditional brick-and-mortar retail. In 2008, Kanzleiter and Corey obtained an SBA-backed loan to increase ShopMamie’s inventory and expand the online marketing for their then still e-based business and launched their website.  At that time, Kanzleiter and Corey’s received technical assistance and counseling from SBA-backed SCORE that put their dream of a brick-and-mortar boutique in site.  In 2013, Kanzleiter and Corey at last opened their Trolley Square ShopMamie Boutique.  Shop Mamie has been selected in the past as the ‘Best of Delaware’ by Delaware Today magazine and has been featured in Redbook and Women’s Day magazines.

SBA’s 2014 Delaware Young Entrepreneurs of the Year’ award will be presented by Tim Furlong, NBC10 Delaware Bureau Reporter, at SBA’s ‘Celebrate Success’ awards ceremony on May 21 at 4:30 p.m. at DuPont Country Club, 1001 Rockland Road, Wilmington, Del. 19803.
