U.S. Sen. Chris Coons, DEDO Director Alan Levin, & SBA Marking Beach Season’s Start with Rehoboth Small Business Walking Tour
Boardwalk-Area Commercial District Tour Spotlights SBA Resources to Start and Grow Small Businesses WILMINGTON, DE – U.S. Sen. Chris Coons, Alan Levin, Director of the Delaware Economic Development Office (“DEDO”), and SBA Delaware Director John Fleming will conduct a small business walking tour/small business owner meet-and-greet in the boardwalk-area commercial district in Rehoboth Beach on Monday, April 14, 2014, starting at 10:00 a.m. The tour marks the unofficial start of beach season in the First State – the Easter Holiday – while spotlighting SBA resources that can help small businesses start and grow. This event will be open to the press. “It has been a long, harsh winter here in Delaware,” said Fleming. “Now, the public’s thoughts are turning to warmer weather. What better way to kick off the new season than with a beachside ‘boots-on-the-ground’ push to connect Delaware entrepreneurs with SBA help to start and grow their businesses? My mission is to make SBA help – and how to get it – common knowledge in Delaware, and that starts with bringing the SBA directly to entrepreneurs in the communities where they live and work.”
