The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has partnered with the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), the exclusive certification body for the LGBT Business Enterprise®. Through this national cosponsorship a series of LGBT Business Builder education and outreach events are being held around the country that focus on SBA Programs & Services and the NGLCC LGBT Business Enterprise Certification. Co-Sponsored by the SBA, NGLCC and Affinity Inc. Magazine, the LGBT Business Builder seeks to highlight the benefits of LGBT Business Enterprise Certification, increase the number of enterprises that are certified, and raise awareness of SBA Programs and Services while building sustainable and meaningful working relationships between SBA District Offices and local NGLCC Affiliate Chambers.

The LGBT Business Builder will educate the LGBT business community on economic opportunities and bring together expertise and resources from staff at SBA district and regional offices and NGLCC’s 44 U.S.-based affiliate chambers, and other resource partners.  Businesses will learn how to leverage minority business certification including NGLCC’s LGBT owned business certification and explore opportunities thru SBA’s suite of services around government contracting, exporting, and other SBA initiatives.
