Advocacy Seeks Input from Wyoming Small Businesses in Regulatory Reform Discussion

 

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration encourages Wyoming small business owners to participate in a roundtable discussion next week. This event allows small business owners and stakeholders from all industries to discuss the effects of federal regulations. The roundtable will be held in Casper, Wyo. on Tuesday, August 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Casper East, 721 Granite Peak Dr.

The purpose of these events is to gain insight into which specific federal regulatory burdens present the biggest barriers to small business growth. With these recommendations, Advocacy can better assist federal agencies in complying with President Trump’s directives to reduce burdensome regulations. 

“As a former small business owner, I appreciate the effort the Office of Advocacy is making to reach out to those in our community who know firsthand which regulations are working, which need to be fixed and which are just plain bad,” U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., said. “Too often the federal government passes regulations without realizing the burden they impose on small businesses, which are responsible for creating more than half the jobs in Wyoming. If you are a small business owner who is struggling under an unnecessary or burdensome regulations I encourage you to attend this roundtable in order to share your experience.”
