U.S. Department of the Interior Seeks Comments on Its Proposed Rule to Rescind the 2015 Oil and Gas Hydraulic Fracturing on Federal Indian Lands Rule

On July 25, 2017, the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) published a proposed rule to rescind the 2015 final rule entitled “Oil and Gas; Hydraulic Fracturing on Federal and Indian Land.” BLM is proposing to rescind the rule stating that it is unnecessarily duplicative and burdensome. BLM is seeking public comments on the proposed rule.
