Tech Tools to Stay Enthusiastically Motivated in Your Business

A recent Gallup poll* found that 7 out of 10 U.S. workers are satisfied with their jobs.

Even more interesting: business owners topped the list of those who are most satisfied. Eighty-seven percent (87%) of business owners say that their job is the;ideal jo- for them.

I think that speaks volumes about entrepreneurship and running your own business. And it also brings up the topic of toda-s post, which is about tools to help you stay motivated as a business owner.

Anyone who has been in business for any period of time knows that running a business is not a bed of roses. Nor is it a steady ramp up' that if you just manage to make it past year X, your problems will be gone. No, i's more like a constant roller-coaster ride of highs and lows. One day yo're on top of the world' having just signed a big new client, or won an award for your product. The next day yo're down in the dumps' your manufacturing line breaks down or a key employee gives notice. Small business is like that. Does't matter how long yo've been in business. Those highs and lows still happen, long after you pass the startup phase.

Keeping yourself pumped up and motivated, even in the face of challenges, is key to success, I've found. I'm convinced that business owners as a whole are among the most optimistic people in the world. That's part of why we business owners report being so satisfied with our jobs - we're a positive bunch.

But even the most optimistic among us can use a little help to stay enthusiastic about our businesses and keep going. Here are some tech tools that can help:
