Local Offices

To make services accessible to small business owners everywhere, SBA has a network of programs and resource partners located across the country. Services available include free counseling, advice, and information on starting and managing a business delivered through the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), the Office of Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs), the Women&rsquo;s Business Centers, and SBA district offices located in every state.</p>

Stacey Poynter is District Director for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in the Indiana District Office.  He was promoted to this position in December 2014 and previously served in various capacities in the office since 2008. 

Poynter and his team deliver SBA’s products and services across the entire state of Indiana.  His outreach to small businesses includes providing the “3 C’s”: access to Capital, government Contracting opportunities, and small business Counseling.

Jayne Armstrong, Iowa District Director

As the District Director of the SBA’s Iowa District Office, Jayne Armstrong oversees SBA’s financial, business counseling, government contracting programs and other services throughout the state.

Carl started as the district director for Virginia in June 2014. Prior to arriving in Virginia, he served as the district director for the Western Pennsylvania District Office for 8 years. Under his leadership, his team have helped a wide variety of businesses.

Carl is very active in mentoring businesses and volunteering in his spare time. He has been an adjunct instructor for several colleges and has served as an advisor to several nonprofit organizations.
