WASHINGTON - Today, the U.S. Small Business Administration announced, after reviewing more than 800 applications, the 50 winners of the first Growth Accelerator Fund competition. The recipients represent 31 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The accelerators come from a broad set of industries and sectors - from manufacturing to tech start-ups to farming as well as a focus on a diversified range of demographic groups.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Small Business Administration announced today that 24 awards will be made to states to support activities to increase exporting by small businesses. The State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) Program was appropriated $8 million to award by September 30, 2014.
WASHINGTON – Marie Johns, Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, today signed a tri-partite Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA) and the Republic of Turkey’s Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) to encourage collaboration to assist small and medium-sized businesses with international trade opportunities.
STEP Initiative Will Help Small Businesses Export
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Small Business Administration is providing $30 million in grants to states, territories, and the District of Columbia, to help increase exporting by small businesses during the next 12 months. The grants were authorized by the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, under the State Trade and Export Promotion Program (STEP).
