Question - last summer I started a business under one name and then needed to change to another name. I ran into some financial problems that is making my life very difficult at this time. on top of the financial problems, I sign an agreement with a company in Calif for some internet services. It was very shortly after hitting this financial difficult patch that I told the internet company that I needed to place the service on hold (span of about 4weeks) -- mainly because I was not in the position to use the service as I fought to regain my financial footing. but this company refused to place my account on hold, I also never used their service (I logged on a few times but that's it!!) they want me/old company name, to pay for 3 months of service that was never used!
so my question to whomever is since I changed the name of the company and I no longer have a need for the old name and will not use it again. Can I just tell this internet company to 'take a hike' and bother someone else? Where do I stand in a situation like this???
