I just found this website this morning while checking into becoming classified as a woman-owned business. I am working for my brother-in-law and have agreed to be the woman part of his business to be able to qualify for government grants, contracts, etc. But how to do that is beyond me because I have never pursued this avenue in the past. I even owned a business for 15 years, but never did anything about becoming qualified as a woman-owned business (dumb of me I guess).
This is an electrical business and we are offering solar panel installation in addition to regular electrical work. So that is even new to us, but at least we are certified for that realm of the business. Anyway, we are located in Virginia and if anyone knows the steps I need to take to get things rolling, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
