I am new to this arena and am trying to find a funding source to start my own consulting firm. I, like many Americans had a "Safe" job with benefits that I could feed my family on up until late July 2013. I was relocating my family for this job from St. Louis to Chicago, when an investment firm brought out the company. 2 days before we were moved with the house packed up I got downsized as my position in Chicago was eliminated. We have been scraping by, and I have started to work coordinating an educational event to prop up my efforts on my own. I have learned some tough lessons in Corporate America and would rather be responsible for my family's well being than have it dictated to me. Safe was not safe at all, so my new career was an easy choice. It is something I believe in and a way to help change the country for the better by creating opportunity for new jobs. We have literally nothing and are facing eviction a week before my first event. I am in need of SBA funding to set up the consulting firm and move forward. The event below I have set up through intense networking, relentless research and flat out hustle. If any of you can point me in the direction of a Startup Lender who can help someone in our financial situation please do. I look forward to all of your feedback on my work thus far-Ben Rediger
