Greetings, I have been developing iOS apps for the past two years under my dad's name. I recently turned 18, so I decided that I want to officially start a business selling my apps. I have been overwhelmed by all of the information on sba.gov, and I'm afraid that in the process of starting my business I might miss something important or do something illegal. I would greatly appreciate any and all advice that you could give me for registering and getting my business up and running. I already have my apps created and can manage all of the technical stuff (getting apps on the app store; building a website for marketing), but I'm totally lost when it comes to the legal stuff. How can I get a business name and copyright/trademark/protect my name and products? I am a resident of Minnesota, but I want to sell my apps internationally on all of Apple's app stores. How am I affected by taxes? For that matter, how do I file taxes? I've never done taxes before! I know that all of this information is available on sba.gov, I'm just having difficulty pulling it all together and figuring out how it applies to my situation. I really appreciate the advice that any experienced entrepreneurs can give me. Thank you so much for your time! John
