Public meeting about small business financing to be held June 11
MONTPELIER, Vt. – A public meeting about various financing options available to small business owners will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. June 11 in the Ilsley Library community meeting room in Middlebury, Vt.
Topics will include crowdfunding, angel investing, microlending, traditional financing and more.
Lenders and representatives from the Addison County Economic Development Corporation, Community Capital of Vermont, National Bank of Middlebury, Opportunities Credit Union, U.S. Small Business Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Vermont Community Loan Fund and Vermont Economic Development Authority will address how their organizations assist small businesses obtain capital.
Nancy Sunderland, who recently launched Poe Wovens, will explain the different approaches she took to finance her new company. Poe Wovens, located in Middlebury, manufactures baby slings.
