SBA Forms Strategic Alliance with the Elite Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Network, San Diego Chapter

Agreement improves access to technological information, education and
local resources needed by entrepreneurs to start and grow small businesses


The U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) district office in San Diego has signed a strategic alliance with the Elite Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business  Network, San Diego Chapter (Elite SDVOB), pledging to work together to improve business access to technological information through educational opportunities and SBA resources while also providing maximum financial opportunities and training to entrepreneurs.  The agreement was signed by SBA District Director Ruben Garcia and the Elite SDVOB San Diego Chapter President Gregg Torwick.


 “I am extremely pleased with the work that is being accomplished by the Elite SDVOB and their excellent new leadership through Mr. Torwick,” said Garcia.  “Gregg has a rich history of assisting entrepreneurs take their place as business owners and I know that he’ll take advantage of our SBA programs to help potential owners fulfill their dreams of small business ownership.”


The collaboration between the SBA and the Elite SDVOB is building a strong foundation for the future.  Small business is the golden thread that ties the American dream into reality for many entrepreneurs. 


Noted Torwick, “Having the SBA as a strategic alliance partner extends the existing partnership between Elite SDVOB and the SBA. The agreement allows the Elite SDVOB to enhance the services we provide, such as one-on-one counseling, education, roundtables, networking events and information resources to entrepreneurs throughout the region.”
