SBA Representative Participates in Café Morgantown
Larry Batten, Economic Development Specialist for the West Virginia District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration, participates in Café Morgantown at the Morgantown Market Place Saturday, May 3.
During the event, seven entrepreneurs give five-minute presentations on their project followed by a three-minute Q&A session from the audience. Batten will provide an overview presentation on SBA programs and services, and the audience selects a winner. The winning entrepreneur receives a prize of $500, in addition to the majority of the event’s proceeds.
“Small businesses significantly impact West Virginia’s economy as they represent 96 percent of all employers in the state,” comments SBA WV District Director, Judy McCauley. “I encourage everyone to attend this forum and support entrepreneurs start, grow, and succeed and learn how the SBA can help along the way.”
The Morgantown Market Place is located at 400 Spruce Street in Morgantown, WV. The event starts at 12:00 p.m. The cost for the event is $20, which provides each attendee with brunch and the opportunity to vote for the winning entrepreneur. Tickets can be purchased at bit.ly/1gKCS1Y and will be sold at the Morgantown Market Place on the day of the event.
