SBA Says Shopping At Small Businesses Across Upstate NY Can Have Huge Impact on Small Business Saturday
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - First there was Black Friday, and then Cyber Monday. Now the U.S. Small Business Administration is supporting Small Business Saturday(r) to help drive shoppers to America's job creators. Small businesses have generated 64 percent of net new jobs over the past 15 years and employ over half of all private sector employees. During this holiday season, the U.S. Small Business Administration is encouraging every American to shop small and make a big impact in your local community on this year's Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. SBA is a proud supporter of Small Business Saturday(r) as a day to support the local small businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country.
"Small businesses are the foundation of our economy - half of America's workers either own or work for a small business," said SBA Syracuse District Director Bernard J. Paprocki. "SBA supports small businesses across Upstate New York through financing, counseling and contracting assistance. Small Business Saturday is an opportunity for all of us to support the entrepreneurs who throughout the year are growing our local economy."
Many Upstate New York towns are among the 1,400 cities and towns across the country participating in Small Business Saturday(r).
