SBA’s Deputy Administrator Marie Johns Brings the Young Entrepreneur Series to San Diego November 7th, 2011
SAN DIEGO -- The SBA Young Entrepreneur Series will be a special gathering of leading entrepreneurs and the military community and is being held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at San Diego State University’s Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center, 5500 Campanile Drive, San Diego, CA 92182-1690, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
US SBA Deputy Administrator Marie Johns will be conducting a dialogue with veterans, entrepreneurs and regional experts driving economic impact in San Diego. A distinguished panel of young business leaders will share their personal stories, business tips and lessons learned during an interactive session connected to a national online audience.
With youth unemployment twice the national average in many communities, particularly among veterans, SBA recognizes a need to promote and better support the efforts of young people looking to create jobs – for themselves and others. Young veteran entrepreneurs are a dynamic resource for national recovery and growth.
The goal of this event is to bring together leading young entrepreneurs, financiers, youth advocacy organizations and government experts to listen, address critical challenges and formulate public policy measures needed to move the veteran young entrepreneur’s business agenda to the next level.
SBA is proud to co-host this function with the SDSU College of Business Entrepreneurial Management Center, the Joan and Art Barron Veterans Center, SDSU Student Veterans Organization, and San Diego Advanced Defense Technology Consortium.
