CONCORD, NH – Two upcoming seminars in Keene and Berlin this month are of interest to businesses interested in contracting with federal and state government agencies. Sponsored by the New Hampshire Procurement and Technical Assistance Program, the free classes are geared toward businesses unfamiliar with the contracting process. Introduction to Government Contracting and Support Services will be offered from 9:30 to 11:30 am, Thursday, July 10, at River Valley Community College, Keene. It will cover the difference between business-to-business and government sales, setting realistic expectations and offer a readiness assessment. Subcontractor Training is the topic from 9 to 11 am, Thursday, July 17 at White Mountain Community College, Berlin. Businesses, especially construction, suppliers and service providers, that are new to government contracting can find success by partnering with another company that already has a contract with a government agency. The seminars are free, but registration is requested and can be done online at www.nheconomy.com/sell-to-the-government/training-events.aspx.
