Throughout much of the world, women's equality is undermined by historical imbalances in decision-making power, access to resources, rights, and entitlements. Moreover, women are still widely under-represented in decision-making at all levels, in the household and in the public scope. Gender equality and women empowerment are essential drivers in expanding economies worldwide. Addressing chronic gender inequality must be a top priority for the business community.
