Would you like to expand or improve your business by entering new markets, adding new value added items, or increasing your energy efficiency? The USDA - Rural Development (RD) focuses on economic development in rural America. Our local USDA-RD representatives, Jessie Huff, State Energy Coordinator, and Robin Ezzo, Business Programs Specialist, will provide an overview and information on how to apply for programs that can support marketing, expansion, and energy improvements to small businesses and agricultural producers located in Alaska. Topics to include:  Is your business looking to reduce its energy costs or develop alternative sources of energy?  USDA’s Renewable Energy for America Program offers Renewable Energy Systems & Energy Efficiency Improvement Grants and Loan Guarantees that could assist.  Are you an agricultural or aquaculture producer looking to develop new value added products or expand your markets?  USDA’s Value Added Producer Grants offers planning and working capital grants for these purposes. Webinar will be available, but registration is required.
