Event description

Acquiring capital to fund a new business idea or sustain an existing venture can be challenging for service member, veteran, and military spouse entrepreneurs. From identifying lenders to developing a financial roadmap, the Colorado VBOC can help guide you through the many stages of understanding your business’ financial picture and accessing capital – like loans, microloans, or grants – to support it. Plus, we're focusing on introducing veteran entrepreneurs to the financial set-asides and resources available to them based on their veteran-owned status.

Join the Colorado VBOC as we host a 4 week workshop series designed to address the following topics:

  • How Your Personal Credit Impacts Your Business
  • How to Build, Improve & Maintain Business Credit
  • Building a Financial Plan
    • SBA Office of Capital Access
    • Surety Bond Program
    • Government Surplus Property Program
    • Financial Set Asides
  • The Basics to Agricultural Lending
  • Maintaining Your Financial Plan with Cash Flow Management
  • Understanding Grants & Selecting the Right Loan Program
  • How Certifications Work For You (VOSB, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.)

We will meet from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM on the first 3 Tuesdays in March. The last Tuesday will include a final seminar and a Lender Expo. We look forward to seeing you there!
