The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) currently has up to $80 million in funding available through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for the DOE Industrial Assessment Centers (IAC) Implementation Grant Program.
Small and medium-sized manufacturing firms (SMMs) in the U.S. can receive up to $300,000 per quarterly funding round, at 50% cost share, to support projects to improve energy and material efficiency, to increase productivity, and to reduce emissions.
SMMs can use this grant funding to address energy assessment recommendations made by Industrial Assessment Centers, Onsite Energy Technical Assistance Partnerships, or other third-party assessors deemed equivalent by DOE. Get an assessment even if not applying for a grant!
Register to join this live webinar (and/or to receive the recording) to learn how Indiana SMMs can:
- obtain a free qualified energy assessment from the Purdue University Indianapolis Industrial Assessment Center
- receive technical assistance from Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership for submitting a grant application and implementing energy assessment recommendations
- meet the 50% cost share with viable options including SBA-backed loans
The next IAC Implementation Grant review will occur for applications submitted by September 30, 2024. The subsequent review date is January 10, 2025 and DOE expects to make more funding available through FY2026.
Investing in America provides significant funding through the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. Visit sba.gov/IIAhub to explore additional opportunities for small businesses.
