Come learn about the SBA’s Certificate of Competency Program (COC) and your second chance at winning a Federal Government Contract. This will be facilitated by Roderick Johnson of SBA’s Office of Government Contracting & Business Development.

Attendees will learn:

  • How the Certificate of Competency Program works
  • Who initiates the COC process: the federal government agency or the government contracting firm bidding on the contract
  • Learn the difference between responsiveness and responsibility for a federal government contract when bidding on a federal government contract
  • What are the appeal options for a COC
  • What financial information is needed from the government contractor for the COC process
  • How long the COC process takes
