NEW YORK - U.S. Small Business Acting Atlantic Regional Administrator Bernard J. Paprocki has announced the appointment of Yvette Collazo as the new District Director for the SBA’s Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands district office.  Collazo will oversee and direct the SBA’s efforts to assist small business owners and entrepreneurs throughout the district.  

SAN JUAN, PR - The U.S. Small Business Administration and the University of Puerto Rico Carolina Campus have signed a Strategic Alliance Memorandum, SBA Deputy District Director María de los Ángeles de Jesús announced. 

This alliance builds on an existing partnership with the UPR’s main Río Piedras Campus, designed with the purpose of developing and fostering mutual understanding and a working relationship, in order to strengthen and expand small business development on the island.

SAN JUAN, PR – The U.S. Small Business Administration has given authority to Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito de Arecibo, better known by its acronym COOPACA, to provide financial assistance to small businesses under SBA’s 7(a) Loan Guaranty Program, the agency announced today.

SAN JUAN, PR – The Puerto Rico Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration invites veterans and other members of the military to its next entrepreneurial development seminar on Friday, Nov. 30, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, at SBA facilities in Hato Rey.
