SAN JUAN, PR – Locally-owned Rovira Foods Inc. has received a $726,213 federal contract to produce unsalted crackers to be delivered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Distribution Program on the mainland. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands district office, SBA’s Procurement Center Representative (PCR) and the Puerto Rico Manufacturing Extension (PRiMEX) the company was able to learn about existing federal contracting opportunities for the food manufacturing industry.
ST. THOMAS, USVI – The U.S. Small Business Administration has graduated nine companies from its Emerging Leaders program in the US Virgin Islands, completing the second cycle of the training series offered to small business entrepreneurs in the territory.
