Gary Eisenbraun

District Director
Gary Eisenbraun

Gary Eisenbraun came to the SBA from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where he was the Deputy Director of the Single Family Housing Program Support Division. Before that, he was a Housing Program Policy Specialist in the Home Valuation Policy Division of the Office of Single Family Housing Program Development. He was responsible for developing policy and monitoring single family housing programs on a national level, and he represented HUD and FHA at various venues and national events. While at HUD, he developed the training for Housing's first in-house Management Development Program based on OPM's SES qualifications, and was the primary instructor. The program has grown, due to its success, and remains as HUD’s primary source for development of its future leaders.

Before joining HUD, Mr. Eisenbraun owned and operated a successful, independent real estate brokerage and appraisal firm in the Colorado Springs area. He was heavily involved in local and community affairs as president of the Colorado Association of Real Estate Appraisers, president of the Pikes Peak Realtor® Services Corporation (Pikes Peak Multiple Listing Service (MLS)), Director of the Pikes Peak Association of Realtors®, member of the Colorado Association of Realtors® Government Affairs Committee, and president of his church council. He was also an instructor at Kaplan Professional Schools, where he instructed all real estate and appraisal disciplines.

Gary is retired from the Navy, where he had an exciting and diverse career in both operational and administrative roles, ultimately serving on major staffs and teams formulating Navy and Joint-Service policy regarding administration, human capital, pay, personnel administration, and mobilization augmentation, with particular emphasis on the reduction of forces while experiencing budgetary constraints and increasing workload demands.

Gary is a South Dakota native and attended the University of South Dakota. He graduated from the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy and holds a graduate certificate in Total Quality Management from the Business School of Hawaii Pacific University. Gary, and his wife, Kristy, reside in the Boise area.
