SBA recognizes Nashua company as part of Veteran's Week

Joe Lopez, Arrow Security & Training, LLC

We appreciate the contributions of our veterans at all times, but we especially applaud the entrepreneurial contribution of the many NH veteran small business owners and their contribution to our country’s economy as we begin to celebrate Veterans Day and National Veterans Small Business Week.    As part of this recognition, we’d like to highlight one of the many stories.

Arrow Security & Training, LLC (AST) under the leadership of owner Joe Lopez, combines their vast experience, military expertise, extensive relationships, and outstanding past performance to deliver our military and civilian personnel exceptional training services that prepare them to perform at their best.  Although headquartered in Nashua NH, AST offers their language and cultural services, training, role playing and simulated software solutions across the globe.  AST has an extensive network that allows for rapid response to emerging requirements.  Some of their accomplishments include pre-deployment courses and joint training programs for the National Guard, pioneering the program of instruction for the International Special Forces Qualification Course, and role playing activities for Customs and Border Protection training exercises.

When you ask Joe Lopez about his company’s success, he believes it is based on two basic principles; “First, quality personnel, capable of exceeding requirements with a demonstrated record and  second, developing an effective and mutually supportive relationship with the customer that is based on trust and respect.  We stay focused on these two values and it has served us well.”

AST is a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and is also a participant in the SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program.    AST began working with the NH SBA office in 2011 and continues to grow their government contracting business through the benefits of the 8(a) program and their exceptional service and proven track record.

The 8(a) Business Development Program is a business assistance program for small disadvantaged businesses. The 8(a) Program offers a broad scope of assistance to firms that are owned and controlled at least 51% by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals that helps certified firms get a foothold in the government contracting market.

Greta Johansson, SBA District Director, reflects on AST’s accomplishments  “The overall goal of the 8(a) program it to graduate firms that will go on to thrive in a competitive environment and provide the federal marketplace with exception service from the small businesses we rely on.   Arrow Security & Training, LLC is a perfect example of this.  We are proud of the work they have performed and look forward to watching their future success.”

The SBA is celebrating National Veterans Small Business Week October 30 through November 3 this year.   The SBA celebrates firms like Arrow Security and Training, LLC to celebrate our veteran entrepreneurs and highlight the positive impact veterans have on the U.S. economy.   To learn more about AST visit www.arrowsecuritytraining.com .
