SBA’s Emerging Leaders Initiative Expands to Help Entrepreneurs Grow and Succeed

SAN ANTONIO – The U.S. Small Business Administration, San Antonio District Office is launching its 2018 Emerging Leaders Initiative in Austin, Texas. The executive-level series targets small businesses with high-growth potential in underserved cities across the nation.

The program provides participants with the knowledge, know-how and connections to help them grow their businesses, create jobs, and strengthen their communities. This innovative program is an intense seven month program that offers approximately 100 hours of training per participant and provides the opportunity for small business owners to work with experienced professionals and develop connections with their peers, city leaders, and financial communities. Over 2,500 small business owners around the country have completed the program.

“This entrepreneurial education initiative is a priority for our Agency because it trains already successful small businesses in how to become prosperous medium- and large-size businesses which are able to propel America’s economy forward,” said Anthony Ruiz, SBA San Antonio District Director.

The program begins in the month of April, Class location to be determined. Classes will be held from 4pm-7pm Bi-Weekly through October. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2018.
