SBA Eastern Pennsylvania District Celebrates Small Business Saturday in Adams County

Acting Director Steve Dixel encourages shopping local Nov. 24

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Eastern Pennsylvania District’s Acting Director Steve Dixel visits Gettysburg, Pa. to share the importance of shopping local this holiday season. Celebrated each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Small Business Saturday allows consumers to make a tremendous impact in their communities by supporting a local small business. Last year, an estimated 108 million nationwide consumers shopped small on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 24.

SBA officials will visit Appalachian Brewing Company, and Artworks on Nov. 15, to learn how they are preparing for Small Business Saturday® and the upcoming holiday season. Media are invited.
