Request SBA Speaker from the Arkansas District Office

  • SBA Arkansas District Office staff as available may conduct presentations to the public, small business groups, chambers of commerce, schools, and other organizations.
  • Topics include: SBA’s programs, resources, and other small business topics like marketing.  
  • There is no cost to the requesting organization.
  • Presentations may include PowerPoint and last from 20 minutes to one hour.   
  • Informative SBA small business material will be available to attendees. 

How to submit a request:

  • Submit request via email to kevin.mciver@sba.gov.
  • Requests should be made at least one month in advance if possible. 
  • Include the following information in the request: 
    • Name of requester
    • Requester’s telephone number
    • E-mail address of requestor
    • Name of event
    • Name of organization hosting event
    • Web link to event or event registration if available 
    • Purpose of event
    • Address of event including zip code
    • Date speaker is requested (more dates may help in getting scheduled)
    • Time of event
    • Desired topic of SBA Presenter: General SBA Overview, Lending, Contracting, Marketing, or other. Actual topic must be SBA/small business related.
    • Time allotted to SBA presenter 
    • Number of attendees expected
    • Description of attendees (i.e., persons in business; persons thinking about starting a small business; specific backgrounds/industry, etc.)
    • Is a projector, projection screen, and an electrical outlet available at event location?
    • Any other relevant information
