SBA Announces Connecticut's 2019 Small Business Persons of the Year

HARTFORD, CT - The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced its annual award winners for 2019. Joyce and Jerado of Reynolds Welding and Manufacturing in Windsor have been selected to receive the prestigious Small Business Persons of the Year award for Connecticut.

Joyce and Jerado are an exemplary couple whose passion for welding has led them to their success today. Reynolds Welding & Fabrication is a family run business started by Jerado in 2005 and later joined by his wife Joyce in 2015. 

Jerado has a strong passion for structural steel welding in practically all shapes, sizes and designs.  A master welder, he has been welding practically all his life, learning the trade from his uncle in Jamaica and in New York earning a certification from the American Welding Society. Joyce’s background is that of a Registered Nurse and formerly an Assistant Nursing Director, with much coercion from Jerado she sacrificed her career and joined the company as President and runs the financial operations of the business.  

Reynolds Welding specializes in structural steel cutting and welding work primarily done in the shop and shipped to job site locations.  Reynolds Welding operates primarily in Connecticut but also ships out to state construction jobs in the Northeast.  They also do on the job site welding and in shop steel bending fabrication work for smaller jobs.
