INDIANAPOLIS – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Indiana District Office  recognized and awarded this year’s Small Business Person of the Year at an awards luncheon at the Crane Bay Event Center in downtown Indianapolis May 9.

“It is my pleasure to announce Casey Wright, CEO of NijaZone LLC & Wright’s Gymnastics, as this year’s SBA Indiana Small Business Person of the Year,” SBA Indiana District Director Stacey Poynter said. “Casey has succeeded in taking what was once her parent’s small family business and building it into an international youth sports training empire.  ”

Casey Wright bought her parent’s gymnastics studios in 2006. With the help of SBA-backed financing and small business counseling, Wright’s Gymnastics has grown from two to six Indianapolis academies, and added the NinjaZone brand, which offers multi-dimensional recreational sports training programs to over 200,000 boys and girls in eight countries throughout the world.  Casey says it is an honor to see her vision and hard work recognized by SBA.

“It means so much to represent the state that stands for the same values that are in the DNA of me and my companies. Honesty, work ethic, and self-responsibility are integral to small business. Being a Hoosier has taught me that, and to be able to represent the community that made me who I am is an incredible honor.”
