SBA Names Warwick’s PuroClean the 2019 Rhode Island and New England Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year

SBA Names Warwick’s PuroClean the 2019 Rhode Island and
New England Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year

Providence, RI –The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has named Christopher Sanford, owner of PuroClean Disaster Restoration Services, the 2019 Rhode Island and New England Veteran-Owned Small Business. PuroClean, located in Warwick, specializes in helping its residential and commercial clients recover from damage caused by fire, smoke, water, sewage, mold and other contaminants. Sanford is a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served on active duty for over seven years as a Surface Warfare Officer and continues to serve in the Navy Reserve.

“I would like to congratulate Christopher Sanford on not only being named the Rhode Island Veteran-Owned Small Business, but the Regional awardee as well,” said SBA District Director, Mark S. Hayward. “Chris is a testament to the service men and women and the incredible work ethic and perseverance they hold,” he added. 

This award is open to any individual or individuals who owns or operates a small business for profit, has been in operation for a minimum of three years, has received SBA assistance, and is a veteran of the U.S. armed forces.

The Rhode Island “Salute to Small Business” Awards luncheon will be held on May 10, and will honor all of the Rhode Island awardees and their exceptional small business accomplishments.
