EASTERN Pa.– During National Veterans Small Business Week, Nov. 4-8, the U.S. Small Business Administration Eastern Pennsylvania District celebrates, connects, and empowers service members (including National Guard and Reserve), veteran, and military spouse entrepreneurs and business owners – past, present, and future. During NVSBW, the SBA’s district offices and resource partners across the U.S. celebrate veteran small business owners nationwide with Boots to Business and Boots to Business: Reboot events, webinars and workshops focused on access to capital, federal procurement, and entrepreneurial development.

“I encourage all active duty, Guard, Reservists, veterans and their family members to take advantage of the many programs we offer through our District Office and resource partners,” said Director Steven Dixel, SBA Eastern Pennsylvania District. “Each year, SBA assists thousands of veterans, reservists, and National Guard to start and grow their small businesses. Nearly one in every 10 American businesses today is owned by a veteran and veteran-owned businesses employ nearly six million workers, so it’s not just the right thing to do, it’s important for the economy.”

“We offer programs for veteran entrepreneurs year-round, and National Veterans Small Business Week is a great opportunity to celebrate and serve America’s veteran entrepreneurs,” said Shannon Degiglio, SBA’s Eastern Pennsylvania District Veterans Business Development Officer. “Vetrepreneurs are not only veterans who have chosen to serve our nation at great personal sacrifice, they have also chosen to serve our communities by building successful businesses that support our nation’s economy and create jobs in our local communities.”
