Nick Maduros serves as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Small Business Administration. Appointed in November 2014, Mr. Maduros works with Administrator Contreras-Sweet to oversee all agency programs, operations and staff.
Prior to joining the Administration, Mr. Maduros started two small businesses and spent nearly two decades advising companies, trade associations, non-profit organizations and individuals on complex policy and communications challenges. He founded Delta Policy Group in 2010 and served as the firm’s president until coming to the SBA. From 2000 to 2010, he was a partner in the bipartisan firm Quinn Gillespie & Associates, where he was a founding member.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Maduros worked as an attorney in Arnold & Porter’s Public Policy Practice Group and in the Washington office of Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, McPherson & Hand. He also served as counsel to the chairman and CEO at an educational technology company.
Mr. Maduros, the grandson of Greek immigrants who were small business owners in the restaurant industry, is a graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School. A native of California, he now lives in Maryland with his wife and three daughters.
