SBA to Close Business Recovery Center in Indiana on April 26

ATLANTA – The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today that due to a steady decrease of activity, the Business Recovery Center located in Scott’s County, Indiana will cease operations Thursday, April 26 at the close of business.  The center was opened to assist businesses recover from the effects of the severe storms and tornadoes that occurred from Feb. 29 through March 3, 2012.
The location and hours of operations of SBA’s Business Recovery Center are indicated below.

Closes: Thur, April 26 at 5 p.m.
Survivors are encouraged to visit the center before it closes for one-on-one assistance with SBA representatives for program information and completion of their low interest disaster loan applications.  
Businesses and non-profit organizations of any size may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and other business assets.  For small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private non-profit organizations, the SBA offers Economic Injury Disaster Loans to help meet working capital needs caused by the disaster.  Economic Injury Disaster Loan assistance is available regardless of whether the business suffered any physical property damage.
After the center closes, additional information on the disaster loan program can be obtained by calling SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.  Loan application forms can be downloaded from www.sba.gov.  Completed applications should be mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.  Those affected by the disasters may also apply for disaster loans electronically from SBA’s website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/.
The deadline to return applications for physical property damage is May 8, 2012 and to return economic injury applications is December 10, 2012.
