OK 13586-06 SBA to Close Oklahoma City Disaster Loan Outreach Center

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Dorothy Overal, the U. S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Oklahoma District Director, announced today that SBA will close its Disaster Loan Outreach Center in Oklahoma City on Friday, September 13.

“SBA opened the Disaster Loan Outreach Center to provide personalized service to Oklahoma residents and businesses that were impacted by the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding that occurred May 18 - June 2, 2013. “Although the filing deadline to retu rn applications for property damage expired on August 19, small businesses and most private, nonprofit organizations of any size and aquaculture businesses still have until February 20, 2014, to apply for low interest Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) to help meet working capital needs caused by the disaster.  EIDL assistance is available regardless of whether the business suffered any property damage,” Overal said.

“Until the center closes, SBA customer services representatives will continue to be available to answer questions about SBA’s economic injury disaster loan program, explain the application process, help business owners complete their EIDL application and close their approved disaster loans.  The center is open on the days and times indicated.  No appointment is necessary,” she continued.
